Commissioned 11 poets in and beyond Scotland to contribute a poem for a limited edition pamphlet entitled Dàin do Shomhairle / Poems for Sorley published in association with the Scottish Poetry Library in June, 2011. The pamphlet is available from the SPL and from the Gaelic Books Council, price £6.

Established, in association with Comunn na Gàidhlig, a Gaelic Poetry Competition for Secondary School pupils across Scotland. Prizes in form of Amazon vouchers to the value of £100, £80, and £60 were awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively. For further information about the competition view the winners News Release

Arranged to reprise a performance of its 2009 Celtic Connections concert Hallaig in St Andrew's Cathedral, Inverness and at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig as part of the 2011 Blas Festival. The Trust gratefully acknowledges financial assistance from the Saltire Society, the Saltire Society Highland Branch and the Gaelic Society of Inverness in respect of this event. The Inverness concert was recorded for television and is to be transmitted on BBC Alba at 9 pm on Saturday 22nd October, 2011
